MEET THE PLANO SENIOR WILDCAT COACHES

 

Cody White
Head Coach / Campus Coordinator / H Backs

Entering his 30th year of coaching and his 17th year as a head football coach, Coach White begins his 1st season as the head coach of the Plano Wildcats. Coach White came to Plano from Brentwood Academy in Nashville, TN. Prior to that, he coached in Texas in Huntsville, Highland Park, Montgomery, Odessa Permian, and Denison. He has coached teams who have advanced to 3 quarterfinals, 6 semi-finals, and won 4 state championships. He has an overall head coaching record of 138-49. Coach White is a graduate of Baylor University and has a B.S. in Education. He received his M.Ed. in school administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He and his wife Lori have three daughters, Ashlynn (24), Kate (21), and Lauren (18).

 

Carson Meger
Assistant Head Coach / Quarterbacks / Running Backs

Coach Meger is a Plano native and a 2009 Graduate of Plano Senior High. He earned his bachelor's degree in communication studies from the University of Texas at El Paso, where he was a three-year letter winner for the football program. Coach Meger also earned a master's degree in sports administration from Concordia University. Following his graduation, Coach Meger returned home to Plano, and is entering his 11th year in the coaching profession, with 10 of those years being at Plano Senior High. Coach Meger is also a Special Education Teacher and will assist with the Soccer program at PSHS. He has been married to his beautiful wife Katie, a PISD Elementary PE teacher, since 2014. They stay busy chasing around their daughter Lucy (7), son Griffin (5), and daughter Layla(3). Some of his hobbies include watching sports, playing golf, and doing anything outdoors with his family.

 

Chuck Reid
Offensive Coordinator / Quarterbacks / Running Backs

Coach Reid is a native of Oxford, Massachusetts. He graduated from Framingham State College in 1990 where he was a four-year letter winner as an offensive lineman. He earned his master’s degree in education from Old Dominion University. This will be Coach Reid's 34th season as a teacher and a coach. He started his professional journey as a high school coach in Newport News, Virginia, at Denbigh and Woodside High Schools. He then moved back to New England as the Defensive Coordinator at UMass Boston. After UMB, Coach Reid served as head coach at North Reading, Proctor Academy, and The Loomis Chaffee School. Seven years ago, he and his wife moved to Tennessee and he spent the last two years at Brentwood Academy where he served as the OC last fall. Coach Reid has been married to his wife Terri for 31 years and they are empty nesters.

 

Zack Smith
Defensive Coordinator / Linebackers

Coach Smith is beginning his 23rd year of coaching and his 4th year at Plano Senior High. He played collegiate football at Howard Payne University where he was an All-American Southwest Conference Linebacker. Over his 23 years of coaching he coached in college and high school including Kansas Wesleyan University, Austin College, Texas A&M-Commerce, Denison, Round Rock Cedar Ridge, and Lucas Lovejoy. His wife Amy is in education as well, and she teaches language arts in Lovejoy ISD. They have two beautiful girls, Zaya (11) and Amaylee (7). He loves coaching, watching sports, and being with his family.

 

Mark Chilivetis
Special Teams Coordinator / Cornerbacks

Coach Chilivetis is a native of Houston, Texas. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in political science before moving to North Texas in 2009. He recently earned his master’s degree in sports management from Texas A&M. He started his coaching career in PISD at Jasper High School and Clark High School, where he taught social studies and coached freshman football and track. Known as Coach Chili to most, he will be in his 11th year at Plano Senior High where he currently teaches AVID. In addition to coaching varsity corners, he is also the defensive coordinator for the JV team. In the spring he serves as the Wildcats JV baseball coach. He and his wife Emily have lived in the Plano area for 14 years with their two young Wildcats, Abby and Hayes.

 

Kevin May
Defensive Ends

Coach May graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University. He is beginning his 20th year in Plano ISD, and 16 of those years have been at Plano Senior High. In addition to coaching football at Plano, Coach May also teaches in the special education department which includes the high school’s Peer Assistance program. For 24 years, Coach May has been married to his incredible wife Cathy.  Together they have two children, Kole (PSHS class of 2023) and Caroline who assists at all Wildcat football games managing game balls.

 

Chris Fisher
Safeties

Coach Fisher is a native of Amarillo, Texas and is beginning his 22nd year of coaching. This will be his 16th year in Plano ISD and his 13th year with the Wildcats. He was previously the Head Football Coach/Athletic Coordinator at Palo Duro High School and the Defensive Backs Coach at Carrollton Creekview before returning to the Wildcats. While with the Wildcats, they have been State Quarterfinalist, State Semifinalist, and had nine playoff appearances. Coach Fisher is a graduate of Midwestern State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Coach Fisher also has his master’s degree in sports administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. Coach Fisher and his amazing wife Janna have been married for 23 years and have four wonderful children - Darion (PSHS class of 2016), Alyssa who is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin, Jaylen (PSHS class of 2023), and Aynslee Grace (PSHS class of 2030).

 

Daniel Maddox
Outside Linebackers

Coach Maddox is from Marshall, Texas. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a BS in Biology and MS in Natural Science. He enters his 18th year of teaching and coaching and his 6th year at Plano Senior High. His previous years were spent spent in Lufkin, Carrollton-Farmers Branch, and Rockwall-Heath. He teaches Environmental Systems and also assists with the track program in the spring. He is married to his wonderful wife Molly, and they have one son named Wyatt, and a dog named Jon.

 

Jeff Wigington
Offensive Line

Coach Wigington is entering his 22nd year of coaching and his 1st year at Plano Senior High. He is from Denison, Texas where he lettered in both football and baseball. He played football for legendary coach Bob Brown and was drafted by the Minnesota Twins his senior year in 1995. He would then go on to play baseball and graduate from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in sociology. Coach Wig started his coaching career at Denison High School (2002-2011). He also made stops at DeSoto High School (2012-2017) where he won a State Championship (2016), and then Brewer High School (2018-2022) in Fort Worth. Coach Wig is married to his wife Ashli (Barrett), whom he met at OU. Ashli was a National Champion in Softball (2000) and 2x All-American (catcher). Ashli will also be teaching in Plano ISD. They have 2 children, Cale (16) and Lanna (14).

 

Jason McNeely

Offensive Line

Coach McNeely grew up in Plano and graduated from Plano Senior High in 2014. He went on to earn his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor in Health Science from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2019. He is currently entering his 4th year in coaching, and this will be his 2nd year at Plano. Coach McNeely is a special education teacher at Vines High School and is an assistant wrestling coach. He enjoys spending time with friends, family, and time outdoors.

 

Anthony Travis
Receivers

Coach Travis graduated from Texas State University with a major in exercise sport and science and a minor in biology. He moved to the metroplex in 2008 and will be entering his 16th year of coaching. He has previously worked at Hays High School, JJ Pearce High School, and Richardson High School. This will be his first year at Plano Senior High. He has been married to his wife Amanda for 10 years and has 2 children, son Jackson (8) and daughter Riley (6) who attend Shepard elementary. His family enjoys spending their time outside swimming, playing sports, hiking, and anything else that peaks their kids' interest.

 

Lance Low
Receivers

Coach Low is entering his 8th year of coaching and his 1st year at Plano Senior High. He graduated from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology and a minor in education. Coach Low is a special education teacher at Plano and will also assist with the track program. Prior to Plano Senior, he was the defensive coordinator at Vines HS. He also has coaching experience at Aubrey High School, Alto High School, and Montgomery High School. He grew up in Alto, Texas where he was a part of two State Championship football teams. He enjoys spending time with family (including his dog Lucy), playing softball with friends, and attending sporting events.

 

Michael McNatt

Defensive Line

Coach McNatt grew up in Dallas and was a 4-sport athlete. He was a 3-year letter winner and starter in high school football, basketball, baseball and track. Upon high school graduation he earned football, baseball and academic scholarships. He graduated from Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas in 2008 with a double major in business administration and business marketing and a minor in sport administration. Coach McNatt is now entering his 15th year of coaching and 1st year at Plano Senior High. Prior to coming to Plano, Coach McNatt was the Defensive Coordinator at Conrad High School in Dallas. During his 15 years as a coach he has coached basketball, track, wrestling and baseball, head coaching for many years, regularly making the playoffs and helping athletes earn scholarships. Coach McNatt will also be coaching baseball for Plano and teaching world geography at Clark. When he is not working, he spends all his time with his beautiful wife Michelle and 2 children, daughter Eulila and son Levi.

 

Jarod Haynes

 Defensive Line / Kickers

Coach Haynes earned his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and was a three-sport collegiate athlete at Oklahoma Baptist University. While at OBU, Coach Haynes was a part of 4 consecutive NAIA National Champion Swimming and Diving teams, earned an individual Conference Title throwing the javelin for the track team, and was a kicker/punter for the football team. He also holds a master’s degree in education with the emphasis in Sports Administration from East Central University. After graduating from graduate school Coach Haynes spent 3 years pursuing a professional career as a kicker/punter, getting interests from multiple CFL teams. One of those years was spent as a Special Teams Assistant Coach with East Central University. Throughout his career, Coach Haynes has served as a multi-sport coach and certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has accumulated a total of 6 years of coaching experience in high school, the private sector, and college. His experience includes contributing in training 3 separate NFL pre-draft programs, leading training for WNBA and men’s overseas pro basketball players, and working with a PGA Tour golfer. Coach Haynes enters his 3rd year of teaching and coaching. In his free time, he loves to spend time with his fiancé Kelsea, play golf, and lift weights.

 

Chris Reynolds

Head Athletic Trainer

Coach Reynolds is celebrating 29 years of service since joining Plano Senior High as the Athletic Trainer. He graduated from Artesia High School in Artesia, New Mexico and he further extended his education by attending and graduating from McMurry University, Abilene, Texas with a bachelor’s degree. Coach Reynolds is married to his wife Shannon, and they have a daughter Carter and son Caleb.
