MEET THE PLANO SENIOR WILDCAT     FRESHMEN COACHES

JASON PRICE
9TH GRADE Head Coach / Athletic Coordinator AT VINES HS

Coach Price will be entering his 16th year in Plano and 26th year overall in education. After completing his service in the U.S. Army Coach Price completed his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Masters Degree in Health, Kinesiology and Sports Studies from East Texas A&M. He then went on to spend his first 10 years of his educational career working at East Texas A&M as a Coach, Assistant Athletic Director and an Instructor. Coach Price is currently the Athletic Coordinator at Vines High School and the Head 9th Grade Football Coach. He and his fiance Lindsey have five daughters Emma (22), Abby (20), Averie (17), Anni (10), Nora (10), one son Ethan (19), and a granddaughter Emilia (1). 

ALAN KLEIN
9th Grade assistant head coach / DEFENSIVE Coordinator / linebackers 

Coach Klein is entering his 13th year coaching in Plano ISD. He graduated from the  University of North Texas with a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies. Curently he is the Athletic Coordinator at Clark High School. Before that, he had the same role at Haggard Middle School for four years. Coach Klein and his wife of 15 years (Amy) are both school teachers who have two kids Wyatt (9) and Kennedy (6). In our spare time we enjoy watching our kids play sports and even help coach their teams.

SAM WALLS

Coach Walls is entering his 8th year in education and coaching. He has spent all 7 years teaching and coaching at Vines high school. Coach Walls graduated from the University of North Texas in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in History. Coach Walls teaches special education at Vines high school. He also coaches baseball in the spring.  

 JONATHAN HULETT

Entering his 12th year of coaching. Coach Hulett is entering his third year with the Plano Wildcats. Coach Hulett came to Plano ISD from Dallas ISD. He is a proud graduate of Southwestern Assemblies of God University which is now known as Nelson University in Waxahachie, Texas, where he earned his bachelor's degree. Coach Hulett began his coaching career as the defensive line coach at his alma mater, Southwestern Assemblies of God University, during his tenure, he played a significant role in leading the Lions to a conference championship. Following his success at SAGU, Coach Hulett moved to Frisco, Texas, where he coached varsity football and track at Legacy Christian Academy. Coach Hulett was a part of the 2002 Football State Championship team for The Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs.

JD Mckay

Coach McKay is entering his 3rd year of coaching and teaching and his 2nd season with the Plano Wildcats. A 2024 graduate of Wheaton College, he was a multi-sport athlete, playing tight end for the football team and competing in throws for the track and field team. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in History. Coach McKay began his coaching career at Lee County High School in Sanford, North Carolina, where he coached linebackers and helped guide the team to a second-round playoff appearance. Coach McKay has been married to his wife Ellie for 2 years, and they have a goldendoodle puppy named Honey.
